SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — November 4, 2026, 12:00 a.m. Pacific election-night update. David W. Olivo is the only named candidate in the South Lake Tahoe city treasurer contest, with 3,330 votes reported at midnight.
Reported preliminary totals
The early 8 p.m. update listed 3,002 votes for Olivo. The midnight tally increased that to 3,330. The local report did not identify a second ballot-listed treasurer candidate.
What the result means locally
An uncontested race does not mean every registered or participating voter supported the candidate: some voters may have left the choice blank or written in a name. The treasurer is a distinct municipal office and the official result awaits canvassing.
Why this is not final
South Tahoe Now published the updated figures from El Dorado County’s final election-night vote-center tally at approximately midnight after the November 3 election. The county’s election office says remaining ballot-by-mail submissions and other valid ballots will be counted in further twice-weekly updates. These are unofficial election-night results, not a newly verified November 5 canvass report or a certified outcome. El Dorado County’s county certification deadline is December 3, 2026.
