SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — November 4, 2026, 12:00 a.m. Pacific election-night update. South Tahoe Public Utility District is choosing three directors, and the updated midnight results show Shane Romsos, Nick Exline and Nick Haven holding the leading positions.
Reported preliminary totals
At midnight, the tally stood at Shane Romsos 4,092, Nick Exline 4,080, Nick Haven 3,929 and Mike Fedor 1,804. Haven’s advantage over Fedor for the third position was 2,125 candidate selections.
What the result means locally
In the first 8 p.m. report, Haven led all candidates with 3,797 and Romsos was one vote behind at 3,796. The later batch reordered the top three, although all three remained above fourth-place Fedor. This is an independent utility-district board election, not a vote for South Lake Tahoe’s municipal council.
Why this is not final
South Tahoe Now published the updated figures from El Dorado County’s final election-night vote-center tally at approximately midnight after the November 3 election. The county’s election office says remaining ballot-by-mail submissions and other valid ballots will be counted in further twice-weekly updates. These are unofficial election-night results, not a newly verified November 5 canvass report or a certified outcome. El Dorado County’s county certification deadline is December 3, 2026.
